When we started our conversation with Missouri voters over a year ago, we were skeptical of term limits. But upon further study and reflection, and hearing the input of many informed voters, I favor term limits. Senators should be limited to two, six-year terms. Members of the House should be limited to five, two year terms. The major issue in Washington today is elected leaders who place concern for their careers and re-election over making the difficult decisions and compromises we need to move our country forward. The only way to eliminate this behavior is term limits.
